would appear from paragraph of your Savingram No. 193

that you agree, that Hong Kong is their country of origin

and that there would be no legal objection, in view of the

events which have taken place, to an order being made under

the Regulation in question. It is understood from representa-

tives of China Companies affected that such Companies are

desirous of registering in Hong Kong and will welcome the

early provision of facilities for so doing.

There is a very marked anxiety on the part of

China Companies to have these matters finally settled and

I would welcome an early direction.
